Why I'm this inexpensive

Because I'm still in school, and this is not the hard part of what I do.

Published AI research

I built and published Ornimetrics, a computer vision system that identifies 555 bird species from camera footage and runs entirely on a device the size of a paperback. It's peer-reviewed and published in the CS & IT Conference Proceedings.

Software other people rely on

I build FRC Catalyst, an open-source robotics library used by competitive robotics teams, and founded SparkHub, a student learning platform.

I run my own servers

A dozen services on hardware in my house, including the one serving my portfolio site. If something breaks on your site at 9pm, I'm not filing a ticket with a host — I just fix it.

How it works

  1. You email me. Tell me what your business does. That's all I need to start.
  2. I build a free mockup of your homepage. Takes me a couple of days. You see exactly what you'd be getting before you spend a dollar.
  3. If you like it, we go. Half up front, and I need your photos, hours, and the services you want listed. Rough is fine — I'll clean it up.
  4. About a week later it's live. You pay the other half. Two rounds of changes included, and I'm not going to nickel and dime you over a third.

Questions people ask

Why is this a fifth of what everyone else quotes?

Agencies around here charge $3,000 to $8,000 because they have offices, salespeople, and project managers. I'm a student working from home who wants real projects to show. You're getting the build without the overhead.

What happens if I don't like the mockup?

Nothing. You don't pay me, you don't owe me anything, and I move on. That's the entire point of doing it first.

Are there ongoing costs?

Not to me. You'll pay for a domain name and hosting directly, usually $15–20 a month, and it stays in your name. If you already have a domain, we'll just use it.

Do I own the site?

Yes. Domain, hosting, and files are all in your name. If you ever want to move to someone else, nothing is locked up.

You're in high school — what if you get busy?

Fair question. It's why I only take a couple of projects at a time, and why the timeline is a week rather than a month. If I can't do it, I'll tell you before you've paid anything.
