What I do

The software

Drivetrain, every mechanism, the autos, and the vision that tells the robot where it is.

I ported our AprilTag localisation from Python to C++, built autos in PathPlanner and Choreo, and turned what we kept rewriting into Catalyst.

Book IV · 2026 offseason

Numbers

Our build of Team 581's REBUILT design, and the first competition robot on Catalyst 2.0 for FIRST's new Systemcore controller. It debuted at SoCal Showdown in October 2026.

Scroll, and it comes apart.

Shooter

Four Krakens, one flywheel

A 4 in stainless flywheel spun by four Kraken X60s, with a hood that aims from 13 to 45°. It shoots out of the back of the robot.

Teardown

Six assemblies

Hood, shooter, intake, hopper, floor and drive base, lifted off in the order the bolts come out. The model is the robot's own CAD.

Intake

Out 300 mm

The hopper slides out 300 mm with the intake on its front, and holds about 60 balls.

Drive base

Swerve, from above

Four swerve modules, the battery and the power distribution, with everything above them lifted away.

  • PowerPDP 2.0

Code

Written on Catalyst

Every mechanism on Numbers is a Catalyst builder, running on Systemcore with WPILib 2027.

The robots

The ones before

Since 2025 each robot is named for a Book of the Bible. Drag the models to turn them any way you like.
